Anyone submitting designs to Threads of Peace must agree to the following terms and conditions:
The Threads of Peace name, logo and all related design marks, as well as the "Live It" slogan, are trademarks, service marks or registered trademarks of Threads of Peace, Inc. All rights reserved.
If a submitted design is selected for use on Threads of Peace products, Threads of Peace retains exclusive rights to the design, including all marketing and income-generating uses of the design, without restriction. The individual submitting the selected design will receive $200 plus five t-shirts of their choice as full and complete compensation for the submitted design.
By choosing "I Agree," you are agreeing to assign to Threads of Peace, Inc., and threadsofpeace.com all rights – without exception – including title and copyright ownership for your design, in perpetuity. You waive all claims to intellectual property rights and hereby relinquish any claims whatsoever to ownership of the submitted design. You acknowledge that Threads of Peace may use your design in any manner it chooses for purposes of promoting, marketing or selling the design or altering the design in a manner that best suits those or other purposes as it deems appropriate in its sole discretion.
In addition, by choosing "I Agree," you are agreeing that the submitted design is wholly your own original design, created exclusively by you, and that the design does not contain and copyrighted or trademarked material of any kind from any other person or entity.
If your design or a similar rendition of your design is selected for use by Threads of Peace, you will receive the agreed-upon compensation as detailed above.
Beginning on the date of your design submission and continuing until you receive notification of a decision by Threads of Peace regarding the judging of your design, you may not reproduce, sell or otherwise market or display your design for any purpose while the design is being judged. Only after receiving notification that your design has been rejected – usually within 60 days – all title and ownership will be returned to you for the design. Until and unless Threads of Peace rejects your design, in writing, Threads of Peace reserves and retains all rights, title and ownership of the design, as transferred to Threads of Peace with your design submission and your choosing the "I Agree" box on the online submission form.
